Movie Description

In a provincial English town lives a little girl with her father, who after the death of his wife has become a closed and cruel man. When the girl's cat becomes ill, the father refuses to have it treated and forces her to turn to the local witch. While everyone else in town considers the witch to be a mad woman, the little girl soon realizes that she may be the key to opening up the heart of her father once again.

Rich has his own style, he is more likely to post a REQ for an unknown movie based on one picture or a short description, just in case it' turns out to be any good. So there is a wider variation in the films he REQs/RELs, some turn out to be gems that couldn't have been predicted from the little information, but some others turn out to be uninteresting or even off-topic. Usually the bad ones don't make it out of the REQ or Unverified stage but sometimes one slips though to REL. So you can never really tell unless more info has been added.

I know nothing about this one, and nothing has been added, though, so it's unclear what category it goes into. Investigating unknown movies is usually pretty fun, except when Rich posts 20 of these in one weekend and I end up spending way too much time on them...

Might be made after an English novel. Лори is AFAIK not a Russian name either, most probably it is a Cyrillic version of Laurie. So the title translates to "Mad Laurie".
