Recent purge through REQs
A couple of things came out of this - whole thing took about 4 hours and was IMMMENSELY enjoyable :-
1. We should do this at least monthly - I found some recently releesaed REQs as well as identifying stale REQs (already released). Once admins have either closed/deleted/moved these to correct place, the forums will be easier to navigate as well as being more "current".
2. This could have been split amongst members - say 0.25 each of the REQ forums. I know it takes time but the value is there for all to see. One hour per month is really nothing so maybe we can co ordinate this ?
3. There are clearly some films which either will never be available on VHS (let alone DVD), not sure what to do about these.
4. There are a lot of "series" requests from various countries. Basically, with some exceptions, we are going to have to buy these and would suggest that those IN those countries are best placed to do so. I am about to buy some locally and share, can those in Spain, Germany, France, Scandinavia etc do the same - or at least advise if the series is worth getting and where it may be purchased.
5. I ended up with a huge list in my top 10 to buy !! Maybe we can agree to share the purchase of these (as per 4 above), whereby the P & P is offset to those in that country ? I know there are several I would dearly love to get, but paying 89 euro for a DVD is just not on.
Anyway, I hope members can appreciate why this was done, and I hope the regular buyers can help out with sources of my REQs to buy. Ideally I am looking to buy several from a single supplier to reduce costs.
Thanks and sorry for essay.

Regarding 'series' requests, your first stop should be http://tvu.org.ru/ - an excellent website/resource.

Re: Recent purge through REQs
another good source for british series is the torrentsite The Box.. currently downloading a few gems from my childhood, as my national broadcaster tended to air these, about half year after first british airing..
