Can anyone please suggest a good video splitter?

I don’t mean to just search the net for one that says its the best, then post a link to a cracked version on emule, im talking about a proven splitter that has been used by someone here.

Iv tried AVI & MPEG splitter from http://www.boilsoft.com/, but its rubbish.
It doesn’t split Jack!

Super-Video-Splitter used to be good, but the new version is pants.
The results are always very degraded.
Also, supposedly older cracked versions that I have been offered so far have not functioned after the trial period after I enter the generated registration number.

I’m not interested in something called tmpgenc, I don’t really know what it is but it never works when I try it, plus I think you need a degree in math anyway.

I am also very wary of downloading apps from emule now, especially as the last one I got killed my computer.

So what I need is:
A splitter that splits everything, free or with crack (not just a trial version).
A splitter used by the person suggesting it on this board.
A reliable source, not just a random link that is potentially a virus.

Many thanks for any help!!

Yes. umm, Maybe.

Probably because it's re-encoding it.

TMPGEnc is easy, File>MPEG Tools>Merge & Cut

Ok, if by everything you mean AVI & MPEG then you are better off using VirtualDub & TMPGEnc, but if you don't like TMPGEnc you could always use something else like VideoReDoPlus for example. If by everything you mean EVERYTHING then I cannot suggest anything because I mostly use specific tools, I'm very vary of "swiss army knife" type apps when it comes to video, most of the apps that edit everything usually just re-encode without copying the video losslessly.

Other tools for spiltting video:
YAMB for MP4
MkvToolNix for MKV
Windows Media File Editor for WMV

All free :)

Thanks for replying OrionPax.

Im not after perfection, supervideosplitters quality was fine, its just not anymore :(

VirtualDub & TMPGEnc sounds very involved.
I’m always cutting out scenes, and so I just wana go click click click, job done.

If VideoReDoPlus is free ill try that.
I take its a type of splitter, and is simple to use.

Sadly im at work, so I have to wait until tonight

In VirtualDub, what you have to remember is to click the video menu and select direct stream copy, then click the audio menu and select direct stream copy. You have to do this every time. Otherwise, this is a very good and easy clip cutter. No re-encoding, so very fast. No support for wmv and asf though.

Yes it's free and open source, you could get VirtualDubMod also which is the same thing with modifications made by other than the original author. It splits but does a lot more, it's a key processing component of AutoGK.

If you want to kill two birds with one stone for when you will eventually want to encode something, get AutoGK and VDubMod is installed in its subdirectory.

Wait a minute, I thought you had Easy Splitter? It's the best. This has serial numbers:

But sometimes Xvid won't split in anything. I've had to convert them to HD DviX, then split them. You might also need something like this:

You may need to reinstall this. Off-line. If memory serves me correctly a registration button should be visible on the face of the program. Also, if any of the keys were incorrect it would not install correctly.

Easy Splitter is the best splitter on the market. I've also a crack version of Biolsoft, which splits more difficult codec. I've recently split a corrupted 1.27GB Xvid Maladolescenza with boilsoft.
