Synopsis

'Jan auf der Zille' tells the exiting journey of the 13-year-old motherless red haired Jan, who is searching for his father. It is the year 1934 in Nazi germany.

The merciless hunting of all political opponents is no secret anymore. In the small town near the Elbe (german river ), where Jan thinks he could find his father, terrible things are waiting for him. The Police tells him, that his father has drowned after he ran away because of murdering someone. His picture is shown in all newspapers...
