ThanksAfter his wife rejects the advances of his superior, a captain and his family find themselves relocated to a rural town where bandits are killing soldiers. When a squadron is attacked and murdered, some scapegoats are rounded up.
The order from above is to execute them, but our heroine shows pity, lets her husband know she will be disgusted with him if the command is obeyed. A surprisingly good little film full of splendid acting, moral dilemmas and no easy answers. The three child stars, roughly two to eight years old, have small yet significant roles. Highly recommended!
