AFRICA ADDIO (1966) [Italy]

Movies that don't quite meet the requirements to be on-topic for FLM, maybe because the actors are too old or screen time is too small.

Post by ARTHORIUS »   11 likes

Also Known As:Adios Africa (USA)
Africa Blood and Guts (USA) (cut version)
Farewell Africa (UK) (video title)

Runtime:140 min / Norway:124 min / USA:122 min /Sweden:116min / USA:83 min (1970 release)
Country:Italy
Language:Italian

Here's another italian doc concerning the african uses equiparating to the europe...

Trivia:Despite having almost half of the original material removed, the English print under the title Africa Blood and Guts is noted as being more gruesome than the original, uncut print, as any scenes of pleasantness or history have been removed, leaving only the most violent and disturbing footage untouched.

Well, those Italian "documents", they´re in fact no documents at all in the sense of authenticity, one feels that most scenes were somehow fake, mostly in order to gain the audience. Poor Africans do for just few dollars things they wouldn´t do normally.

As I said, no document at all. With a good film editor one can prove that the snow is in fact not white, but green with violet spots :think

I didn't see this one and I also never intend to download it, but I would say that one can criticise everything. Not only that the topic of the movie is absolutely wrong here, the girls are again, uhm... too old? We once had this discussion. Some people around here seem to stretch the word "coming-of-age" up to where they want to. 18 or something.

I'm no admin, but I already suggested and I always will, that the forum should have a limit for what type of movies are released here and a defined maximum age of 15, like the japanese U15 idol boards. This is a clean seperation between old and off-topic and young and nice.

Just my opinion.
