What might be the problem?
Recently I´ve downloaded a torrent with Ebba och Didrik, 9 separate .avi files each one with Swedish subs in .srt format (well, better than none). When I wanted to play them, I am always getting a message like "Unrecognized format for 'D:\Program Files\Azureus\Incoming\Ebba Och Didrik\Ebba Och Didrik - 1x01 - DVDRip.AC3.XviD-CaseyJones.Swe.srt'. No idea what might be wrong, the video and subs files bear an identical name, except of course the suffix. I´ll be grateful for every hint.
Re: What might be the problem?
Are the avi files playing properly by themselves?
btw. you click on the avi files, and the media player will pick up the subs if they are in the same folder.
Open the .srt files using Notepad and see if you can spot anything wrong. Maybe your system can't handle the weird characters. Enable support for that in control panel> regional settings> languages.

No, the .avi file doesn´t play properly, every time I click on I get the above mentioned message.

Move the srt files to another folder and see if the avi files play properly.
Did you spot anything when you opened the srt files with Notepad?
