I doubt my choice will be classed by most people as "greatest actresses of all time".

My personal favourite in terms of balancing acting ability with attractiveness would be Juliette Binoche

Hm.. partial to Maureen O'Hara and Olivia De Havilland. Then there's Ingrid Bergman...
Man, this is tougher than I thought. Many of my favourite actresses were also child actresses at one time.
