Is there a way to get high quality from a videocasette? I got my copy several years ago from moviesunlimited. Being it was a low budget indie film the quality wasn't great for VHS. Finally bought a dvd recorder about 6 years ago and burned it to disc, but it barely kept VHS quality.
BTW, still couldn't believe that the photographer 'Jack' in the film is supposed to be Jock Sturges.

You should have a good tv capture card before you start off, best is one with onboard processor on the card.

I found a "DVDR-VHSrip" of this movie at CG, 2.72 gigs. Is anyone interested in this? I'm happy to grab and share it, if so. Originally posted in 2012, it might not offer much of an upgrade to ghost's version of the file.

According to a few reviews, this appears to be one of those films where the student is played by an actress noticeably older than the character she portrays.

https://rarefilm.net/art-for-teachers-o ... a-romance/

Synopsis: Jennifer, an intelligent but insecure 14-year-old student at a boarding school, seduces her married dormitory counselor, a photographer who has offered to teach her about his art and winds up shooting her in the nude. She is naive, and he manipulates her into an affair that eventually is discovered. Years later, as the photographer is being investigated by the FBI, the adult woman remembers her first love as a case of herself watching the artist who watched her. Filmed in B & W.
