[REL] Les Mots Bleus (2005)

The three main characters (the single mother of irrational, overblown emotions, the questionably mute daughter and her dedicated teacher) are confused and insecure, their haunting pasts preventing them from living fully. They don't fit in anywhere, but may fit in with each other.
Clara works in a pet shop and her deaf-mute daughter, Anna, lives with her. The young girl can't read and she has never wanted to learn because her grandmother, Baba, told her a strange story. Clara goes to a centre for deaf-mute people. Vincent, the principal, suggests to give her some particular classes and teach her Sign Language.

AAARGH! Our forum search gremlin strikes again. :( :bigups :blush

Admins, please merge or move the screenshots into the other thread. :wall

[EDIT] or not. ARTHORIUS spelt it wrong. His pics are dead too. Maybe that thread should be the one that is deleted. :think

That's the thing with technical problems, after they are fixed every time anything goes wrong people suspect it's system rather than looking for user mistakes. The search seems to be working fine these days (for single words at least).

Number one rule of searching FLM: you don't always get good results by searching for a whole movie title. Try it first, then if you don't find what you want pick a word which seems uncommon and search for that one, trying variations (accented characters aren't always accented, a missing/added S is common, even alternate names). (This is also true for searching eMule, by the way.) The large number of different languages and character sets involved is the problem. But a search for "mots" turned up exactly two results, this thread and Art's, so searching can work.

I agree that now that you've taken the time to post this, with more information (thanks!), the threads should be merged... except the software doesn't allow it. So I'll just copy the three posts from that thread then delete it. One of Art's pics was the poster identical to yours, the other is a clean copy of that picture which I reuploaded.

Synopsis:
Six-year-old Anna refuses to speak. Her mother, Clara, never wanted to read or write. Lonely and isolated from the rest of the world, Anna looks on as her mother stuffs something into her pockets or sews things into the seam of her sleeve – little notes on which Clara has had their address written down, or the titles of books her little daughter likes to read, or recipes for her favourite cake, or

Really weird.
I searched for 'bleus'. Nothing.
Then I searched for 'mots'. Nothing.
Then I made my post.
Then idler found the old ARTHORIUS link and told me about it.
After that I searched again for 'bleus'. This time I found both threads. :bigups
Totally confused. :blush :wall

I'm running Firefox, latest version, with Adblock Plus, FlashBlock and NoScript addons, but I have allowed FLM to run scripts. I have also allowed FLM cookies to be retained permanently. Anything else I should be doing? :think

Hmmm, I had assumed the misspelling of bleus was the problem, but maybe not. I always look for indications of search problems and have seen none in a long time, but I'll look some more. I assume all your searches were with a freshly-loaded search form, with default options?

Yes. I clicked the 'search' link in the header, typed the single word (correct spelling), and pressed 'enter' on my keyboard. As I said, it worked perfectly after idler told me about it. Not really a big deal - this is a friendly forum; everyone is very nice about goof-ups like I just made - but if you want any further input from me that can help you track this down, I'll be happy to oblige.

The database might have self-healing properties; might have rebuilt itself after idler found the missing link. ;) :think Might be interesting to know what search phrase idler used. After all, he knew the old post was there.

I put in "mots" as keyword and got 3 hits: emulers actual post, ARTHORIUS post at the "General"-forum and ARTHORIUS - now seemingly deleted - post at the "France"-forum. I'd say the "search"-function runs just fine, there are only user problems. emuler today complained about his own typos twice. God knows what he typed into the search field... :eyecrazy

Not my typos - SubRip's. :bigups

After you convert subs from sub/idx to srt format using the OCR in SubRip there are a lot of errors, most of which have to be corrected by hand. ;)
