for all that i can tell it is widescreen. my widescreen tv is full and the picture does not look distorted or stretched. i wonder if this might of been a screener and the counter or property of was cropped off. but definitely wide screen.emuler wrote:Hmm. I thought ptguardian said that his was a WS version.idler wrote:[Image] [Image]emuler wrote: not the one posted by ptguardian someone else will have to get those. This looks FS to me.

What part of this did you not understand? Even after the screenshots I posted. The FS has been converted to WS by slicing off the top and bottom of the FS screen

Sure, in the 4:3 version you can see more of the picture...
But what i couldn't see in all versions is the scene in the shower

We'll have to wait for deadarise to rise from the dead and clear that up.

I think we were on different wavelengths for a moment. Your link is definitely WS. idler initially posted the wrong pictures (from the FS version), then later corrected his mistake.
The reason I posted frames from both versions side by side was to show how the FS version had been cut to make the WS version. Look at the second set of pictures that I posted for comparison. In the WS version, you can barely see the knee, whereas in the FS version you see a lot more leg.
There are good FS to WS conversions, where a human operator decides how the cropping should be done on a scene by scene basis. Sadly, this is not one of those cases.

Re: [REL] Campfire Tales (1997)
wavelengths are fun. i ate a mushroom and rode a long and crazy one. that was many years ago. but i remember it to was fun.
all good mate.
as for the subject at hand most cases it is the distributer who is to cheap to pay for an original master print and just works with what he can get. fortunately for us because of hd becoming the standard there are more movies every week being remastered. the future looks good

Somebody had put checks on these a couple weeks ago, but they never downloaded for me, so whoever re-shared these, please check to see if they are the hashes asked for as there was many on this. And If you do have them please post again, maybe I just missed um. Thanks!
