A bit strange...

Lately, there is this guy on eMule with the nick EMuler (what a camouflage), Irish colours (which happen to be the same as India has), downloading all the good FLM releases but doesn't have a FLM-tag. Right now he is sucking "Twice a Woman" from me. This movie was released on March 6th. Members list says emulers last visit was February 16th. What means he is using a fake nick to visit this board. Strange behavior.

Hence, the board should be viewable to registered members only. Suspicious or malicious IP behavior permanently banned.

Yes.......I've had EMuler d/loading stuff from me also...........with no FLM tag I've not felt obliged to give a friend slot so not a great deal has been achieved. I suppose it's arguably a reasonably common nick to use so it could be anyone although I guess it's a visitor to this board.
As for the real emuler's absence let's not speculate. I'm a firm believer that no one should be accountable for their reasons for being here or for taking a break........I've done it in the past & will doubtless do it in the future. Let's just see what happens, chill & enjoy the releases!

"EMuler" has nothing to do with FLM's emuler as far as I can tell. I added him as a friend 8 months ago, he's changed nicks at least twice (with a [FLM] tag for a while). I have a strong suspicion who he is and he's posted in the past. Even if I am wrong about that, which isn't important really anyway, he's clearly a lurker here and therefore qualifies for one of my friend slots, even if he isn't actively posting.

I share the concern -- given how Art disappeared after announcing he was taking a break, emuler's absence is a bit worrying and puzzling -- but in my opinion it's still way too early to be a worry. Only 2 weeks or so, though with emuler's posting frequency it seems longer

As to registered members only here -- that was a bit of an experiment by ghost to try to attract like-mined people by letting search engines index us. Too early to tell if it succeeds, it takes time for Google etc to catch up. And there's no requirement to use the same name on FLM and on eMule, so I am not sure what that would achieve.

I completely agree, even though some say it’s not a big deal.

I use the name Debaser in many forums, and I can think of several people in those forums who I would rather not see my comments here on FLM.

Ok the chances of that happening are very very slim, but its still possible none-the-less, not that it’s anyone else’s problem here.

I usually add morons like this to my ipfilter, I got sick of seeing users cloning my name for whatever reason so I decided on this policy.
