Moments like that are great for lifting spirits [and OTHER things, obviously! ], and generally brighting your day! Nice to be the object of affection every once in awhile; even if it's a tad misplaced.
I was trying to find an old thread of mine to bump, but can’t find it.
Anyway, it’s not important, ill just ask again here instead.
I’m trying to re-locate a movie that I know was released here a long while ago.
The scene that I remember:
A man (maybe the uncle or father) sits a girl (approx 10yrs) on his lap.
He starts to lift her nightdress up and caresses her bare ass (at the same time, a telephone is ringing).
A boy roughly the same as the girl walks in on the man molesting the girl gets beaten down by the man, and then he carries on molesting her brains out.
Giving and receiving presents, drinking and eating way too much, Christmassy TV, seeing the family, and 12 days off work
My last day of work is tomorrow, and then I head to my folks house on Christmas eve.
I should be back home the day after Boxing day, so I predict that I will be away from FLM from the 24th, and return on or just after the 27th
This morning I discovered the power of a good quality 18” squeegee
My windows are now the bollocks.
Now I am creating DVD video’s (TY chrisv)
All the while I am trying to keep to the back of my mind the fact that I have to reapply for my job (along with new applicants), because my role has been “redefined”.
Hell yes im worried, which is why I think ill give the carpets a clean next.
That'll keep my mind off the bad times for a few more hours.

Damn! I was hoping this problem was only an American phenomena... I guess economies are soiling the crapper with miserable layoffs worldwide...

Debaser.....you have my thoughts & sympathy. This is a story I'm hearing far too often. I'll echo kev's sentiments.....just go make yourself so damn indispensible they think twice about hiring some half-price fuckwit!
I have my own business so no lay-off for me........however it's got tough trying to pesuade people to part with their money.
kev....Wake Up & watch some international news! You only need to look at the strength (or lack of it) of sterling against the other major currencies to get an indication of how poorly we're coping with this global recession. We're starting to hurt beyond belief.
I caught a news item on the way home today that said Canada was the country the economic climate was having the least effect on........any Canadians coming on the forum & gloating will be shot on sight!
