Admin Note: Posts made like this aren't appreciated, since it wastes the time of everyone checking out the link if they already know about it (as almost everyone does, I think.) Conversely, people who don't know and should check it out probably won't because this post feels like spam and could itself be dangerous. To provide some needed information not in the original post, here's the start of the linked article:
Last-minute Conficker survival guide

See Comments (1850)

Tomorrow -- April 1 -- is D-Day for Conficker, as whatever nasty payload it's packing is currently set to activate. What happens come midnight is a mystery: Will it turn the millions of infected computers into spam-sending zombie robots? Or will it start capturing everything you type -- passwords, credit card numbers, etc. -- and send that information back to its masters?

No one knows, but we'll probably find out soon.

:) Thank you very much. Helpful if not necessary link. A very well working option listed there is MS OneCare.

A friend was using the Microsoft OneCare link and the result was perfect.

FFS demimiley, cg1 or whoever......I'm pretty forum laid-back but even I'm starting to tire of your antics.
Inviting members to click on an unknown link with no description is a pretty daft idea........you might know the content is safe but others don't.
Why don't you bookmark our new 'Graveyard' forum........it'll save admin the bother of moving your crap there. :wall

I added some info to the top post so people have a clue what it's about. In the end, it's a non-event for me because I have what I believe to be good anti-virus protection. I do expect there could be some net slowdowns as there has been in the past with similar worms which "phone home". But not much can be done about that, so we'll just have to wait and see.
