One note about encryption. If you're using Truecrypt, Blowfish, Kremlin ect... While it is true LEA can not decrypt these files, the University of Princeton has recently published an article on freezing and preserving keystroke/ passwords in RAM. Not a problem for those who turn off their computer when they're not using it, however, for those eMules who leave their computers running 24/7, LEA could easily sieze their computers freeze and extract passwords stored in RAM.

but at least everything you do when connected is encrypted so that your ISP can't see exactly what you are doing
Apparently ISP’s don’t know exactly what you are doing anyway, not in terms of content.
All they see is how much data is being transferred.
They won’t know whether you are downloading or uploading copyright material for example.
That'll be the job for the authorities that we might be unknowingly downloading to or from.

Perhaps we should all start worrying about being struck by lightening or hit by comets :)

It gets worse

Isn’t there a program we can install that does this whole hiding our IP thingy as well as hiding our emails.
A program that keeps people in me on mind, people that don’t have degrees in IT!

I may as well just turn my friggin PC off now if we really are being snooped on.
