E-Mule servers all full ?

Post by plonkah »   0 likes

Looks like only two )maybe three) legit servers now using peerates and Maurice lists. Even though they state (for example) 357K of 1.4M usesr, they come up as "appears to be full" more often than not. Problem is, if I don't get connected to one of these, the KAD comes up as "firewalled" - anyone else have this problem/solution ?

1. Maurice list right now contains 83 servers; should be enough.
http://ocbmaurice.dyndns.org/index.html
Mark at options>server>"auto update server list at startup" + "Update server list when connecting to a server" + "Update server list when a client connects". Soon enough, you will have more than 100 servers to chose from.

2. With the special server you can't live without, it doesn't mean anything if you get a "full" reply. Managing some 100 000 connections, there are dozens of people closing their connection every second. Just click your server 2 or 3 times, you will get a connection...

3. As for Kad, test your ports for TCP and UDP protocols (options>connection). Most clients are using the test at http://www.emule-project.net. May be you have a firewall or router problem... :icon_secret

Thanks Idler

Strange - I update from Maurice URL and still only gives me the three servers ?? Anyway, I agree that if you continue trying to connect you will eventually.

The KAD thing is strange - if I ONLY connect to KAD, I get "firewalled". If I connect to a server first THEN KAD, I get KAD status "open".

anyways...

My understanding is that this is perfectly normal.

Sounds pretty familiar to me as well.

I don’t bother with the server list now, in fact my sever list is empty.
I connect to KAD, it says "firewalled" for about 10secs, then goes to "open".
