it would be nice to see more than the core 30 contribute and an alert button for spam. other than that this forum is better than most. certainly the best of its kind.

I would imagine that many of the people who registered were put off when they realised what some of the subject matter was (requests and offering for on-topic material for example).
That could certainly explain why perhaps a percentage of those 217 people didn’t return.

Every forum has the problems of lurkers. I once installed a scrypt called LAST VISIT. It should delete members, who weren't active for a certain time. For some reasons it doesn't work properly...
