Here's a documentary-style comedy/adventure about a family living deep in the Thai jungle. Survival is not an easy thing, but setting traps and the like cuts down on the attacks from savage beasts..., until a heard of wild elephants ("Chang" is the Thai word for "elephant") go on a rampage. Made by Merian Cooper and Ernest Schoedsack, who later brought us King Kong.

A new score has been added by the famous Thai group Fong Naam. Nah and Ladah, roughly eight and six years old, star as the family's son and daughter. At the very least, an impressive capturing of animals on celluloid.
Not sure about this one, it is more likely the 1997 or 1969 version :( (see IMDB)

Kru is a pioneer, living deeper in the jungle of northern Siam than any of his predecessors. He solves the problems caused by leopards and tigers attacking his stock by setting traps and killing those beasts. A baby chang (the Siamese word for elephant) is caught in his trap, and thinking he would tame it so it will work for him one day, he tethers it to a post under his house, which is on stilts. Its mother comes and destroys his house. Kru and his family flee to the village, where a mammoth herd of elephants suddenly appear and decimates the buildings in the village. But the villagers fight back.
