However biased I might be, this is a brilliant short from holland.

It's quite special, considering the theme is two 12yo girls that, sort of, fall in love with eachother. It was shot in Morocco, and has not YET been released on DVD.

But your friendly reporter POPDROME was there to capture it first hand...

The board's search function isn't all it could be but it's all we have. I assume you typed the words "Donkey Girl" into search. I just tried it with the word "Donkey" and got six hits. Of course, if I'd typed "Girl" by itself, every topic on the board would have hit.

Try one-word searches to see if it helps. Also, the board software doesn't recognize accented characters, so try to use their unaccented equivalents. For example, instead of "Michèle" use "Michele".

That [REL] link to the (short) Donkey Girl did not show up when I did a Search on Donkey Girl in FLM! Can that be explained?

It did show up, you just didn't look through the complete results list. If you leave "Search for any terms" enabled then all hits for girl show up, and therefore Donkey Girl was on page 8 of the results list.

FLM search ranks results by date of last post ONLY, and that thread was last updated more than 4 years ago. FLM is not google, it doesn't have millions of fast servers which have the power to rank search results by relevance. (Actually, it you search google for 'site:first-loves.com donkey girl' the REL is the first result, that's another way to do it.)

I meant to say it's what we have. BLT's search is very good, and his automatic resharing is a huge help. I don't like using Google for searches of FLM itself - they have a long record of storing too much information and sharing it with government agencies and probably the stormtroopers of RIAA etc. I don't like the idea that I might attract malicious attention to FLM just by doing a search.

I don't have millions of servers either, in fact I'm running flmsearch on a single 1GHz core, but the software I use (Xapian) does pretty good ranking I think. There are 17 threads that contain "donkey" AND "girl" and both threads about "donkey girl" are ranked highest:

PS. I don't share the information with government agencies. LOL. Just advertising this service, because it would not make sense to run it 24/7 if nobody uses it.
