i saw this listed at http://sceper.eu/category/movies yesterday and wasn't sure about grabbing it. i am glad that i did. she plays the part of a kid and in this role an adorably deranged one. because she is over our age limit this is questionable here, but it is well sourced and they are playing parts of kids. some here may not want it. i say
take Amy Crowdis out of this and i would have passed on the download. it was funny at times, but certainly wasn't scary. i am afraid The Melancholy Fantastic may end up being a B movie as well. i will still add it to my Amy collection.
you are right about only a few horror flicks that are worthy of the FLM pallet. i would never buy this movie. where as i own the blu-ray for Let Me In and Let the right one in. Both excellent movies. some decent horror movies here are Wicked Little Things, Orphan, The Bad Seed, The Amityville Horror(Chloe Moretz version) to name a few.
I have to agree with Guest. Even if Amy Crowdis was playing a child-like character, she was only a non-adult if I squinted real hard. The story was very predictable and only mildly interesting - not a keeper, I'm afraid. Now, if you want a non-FLM horror movie you'll really enjoy, try One-Eyed Monster (2008) - "If you see it coming, you're already dead."
