I saw the other rips but the Q was not that high and to be honest I hate movies that are dubbed. So here is my rip done right. The highest I could get from VHS and in the org language with english subs burned in.

I'ts TV rip in good quality , but in hungarian language
Thats one of the posts I saw

As far as richs release I dont think I have seen it. I remember looking about 9 months ago or so and only found one rip that was of a low Q. Thats why I ripped the one I have. I did not reliease more had been done since then. If the Q is the same I would download richs then. Mine all tend to be larger in size.

Sry for the second thread. Still figuring out the system for how you all like posts done

thanks, got it complete now..

But what did you do with the VHS???

Picture is much too dark!!! The whole movie is playing at midnight in your Rip!

Will have to use some Gamma Correction to correct it

This was my Rip and it is looking much better.

I'm a bit new to VHS rips. But I will keep that in mind for next time...

Please guys, don't burn the subs into the video. Much better to release the subs as a separate file, so it can be turned off when not needed, and edited if there is a small mistake. Lots of players (BSPlayer, VLC, etc.) support the use of external subs; they are great - you can do things like change the font, font size, etc. Highly recommended.

Do you have any idea what it would take to remove burned in subs on a VHS tape?

I think this is the reason why he wrote to don't burn them in it. I agree with him: separate sub file allow us to turn them off or translate them in more different languages (!).
While that is easy to do with DVDs (and its how I always rip my DVD's). Its not really possable on a VHS tape. I'm not sure if either of you rip movies. But I would recomend trying what your asking once and see how it goes.
