But he renewed it for only one year, and on July 5 it will expire again. There is a good chance FLM will go offline on Tuesday.
For the non-technical folk, the domain registration is what allows your browser to look up the numeric internet address (IP address) needed in order to connect. The website may well keep running, but nobody will be able to get here.
This may be a false alarm. Maybe ghost set the domain to auto-renew. I hope so.
Even if the domain goes down, ghost may well know it's expired and renew it quickly just like he did last year. During his absences he's still always been very good at resolving site problems. Thing is, this feels different -- we have heard nothing from him even after emails to addresses which he responded to before. So I have less hope than in the past.

There are plans underway to keep FLM going until ghost comes back. Some quick and easy, some requiring more time. FLM won't die easily!

add in the other core 30 or so you have at least that much backing us up and countless silent contributors backing them up and so on and so on.....Emule will out live us all.
