R5 is roughly equivalent to a DVDScr, and a DVDScr isn't usually accorded REL status. R5s are much less dependable quality than DVDRips, some even have CAM audio. So usually the R5 link is posted here for those who don't want to wait but we wait for a DVDRip to make a REL.

ptg could have posted the link, no rule against it, but he elected not to. I see a couple of R5s on eMule for those who want it now.

The file ptg mentioned looks like one of the better R5s, here's a section of the info file.
Encode:
well that was a load of work. The Quality of the DVD was ok.
Added sharpness,chroma,rgb,denoise and brightness.
Audio had a static hiss and noise throughout, cleaned that best as possible. dont wanted to go over and remove more or the audio gets muffled, but its much better know.
Wasnt happy with the sync, was oose on various spots and it didnt meet my hiqh quality lipsync standard.
So i had to do a complete resync of the cleaned track.
Subs also delayed it a lot. The Russian DVD had russian subs for all foreign parts on the disc, so i extracted them to get the original timeframe places for the subs in the movie.
I translated all german parts myself, since i speak german no problem for me at all.
i took the arabic and spanish translation parts from EP1C´s version, hey i cant speak all languages
so thx for that parts.
looks very good now

btw i replaced the first 2 mins with the russian effects in the front channels since there is no voice, sounds much better at the introduction and you cant hear the remaining hiss right at the beginning
popdrome wrote:when I share / find a decent rip, can we move it to [REL] ???
Of course, if it's a DVDRip. Not because R5s are automatically bad, but because they are more likely to be lower quality and much more likely to have eMule sources disappear when DVDRips become available. If it were going to be years it would be different, but the R5 normally predates the DVDRip by a couple of months or less.

I personally don't see the rush, but that's my own opinion and is often overridden by members here who would rather have it now no matter what the quality. There's certainly no reason anyone who wants it now needs to wait, a "REL" status means nothing in that regard.

Thanks for yr reply, FLL, much appreciated!

Personally I see no point in DVD rip or non-DVD rip since my copy just looked and sounded excellent.
OTOH we all know it's a matter of weeks before 'official' rips make it to the 'scene' ( in fact I got my copy pre ordered ) :cool

This is an awkward article though, many foreign languages in the movie (six or seven) - if there wouldnt be, and it would be
just a proper english soundtrack we would've had a release already -
but you make a good point with yr last statement, in that the unfinished article's widely available for those who know where to look.

Apart from that, I'm really curious what other members here make of it. It's no mainstream movie - certainly OT here (including the
semi-lesbian scene of Jessica Barden and Saoirse ;) ) - and it has many unexpected twists and turns.

Guess I'm just excited about it :icon_idea2

XD :thumbsup

the video is a dvdrip(excellent video). the audio is what is in question.

an r-5(region Russia) these days is the same video most of the time as we get in Europe and the States, only difference is it has Russian audio usually but not always. if you see an r-5 with studio audio it is as good as an r1 or r5. but studio in rare so what happens typically is a rip is made with what ever English audio can be found and is synced in. unfortunately it is usually cam audio. this particular file the encoder took the best cam audio and filtered it and put it back into the original tracks thus making a pretty good near proper R1 dvdrip. I checked several sources and this was the best I found and it has good subtitles where as many other rips don't. they are definitely needed.

the reason I did not post the link is because I watched through my main theater system and it filters and improves audio on its own so I enjoyed it but not sure how others might hear it through their systems. it also doesn't have that "crisp pop" clean audio would have. it is however one the best I have heard of this type of audio. no hollow sound and has all the right tones in the mid and most of the high. it only lacks a little in the bass but that won't matter if you watch through your TV or standard computer speakers or if you have a good adjustable sub.

(sorry for the lengthy reply)

popdrome confirms this is probably good enough for an early release and if the file appears I will help share it. ;)

Great movie I will definitely be buying the blu-ray :thumbsup :thumbsup

You're right.. But I think the story line makes this movie on-topic for FLM, This is just another case of a young woman portraying a teenage girl.

We've been following Saoirse for awhile, here at FLM.

I'm sure we won't be following her much longer unless she's in a movie that involves other younger girls, but this is a movie worth supporting her in..

And I'm very willing to wait for the DVD..

I don't know... the link ptg posted has complete sources and is the only release I know of. Someone may find a "proper" release later and it does appear to be FLM. I'm moving this to [REL]ease unless people object too much.
