cduniverse wrote:A drunken janitor is sacked from his job at an orphanage. At his lowest point, an angel appears to him in the form of a young girl. The young girl gives the janitor a new lease on life. But all is not resolved as the devil captures the girl and holds her in his clutches. This bizarre 1960 fantasy was shot in Mexico with a mostly Mexican cast and crew, though the lead is played by Broderick Crawford.

YIKES!!!!
I have 2 different DVD's of this including the hopscotching angel version shown above... I got that one only because I was fooled by the DVD artwork..
The movie is really VERY badly made.. And the lg, though cute and sweet, is a virtual NON-actress... (Almost as bad as the children in 'Kiss Daddy Goodbye' [ https://www.first-loves.com/forums/v ... dy+goodbye ].) Probably will be loved by many just due to it's sheer campiness...
I am visiting family in another state, but when I get back home I'll try to root it out and rip it... (Unless Phuzzy's version is good enough to satiate everyone's appetite for this film..
)

It's coming in steadily with complete sources and it's the correct movie, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I haven't done much more than preview it but it didn't ring my chimes much.kev wrote:I am visiting family in another state, but when I get back home I'll try to root it out and rip it... Spanish is good I can understand enough to get by. Portuguese not so much.Phuzzy4242 wrote:Downloaded and confirmed. Note: Audio is Spanish.
Any chance of screen shots?

I'm pretty sure my DVD's are in English, but they could have been dubbed as the overall production value of this film is the pits: Lousy writing, lousy acting, lousy lighting, lousy camerawork, lousy sound, ect... Broderick Crawford probably made enough $$ with this film to pay for the friggin' booze he was drinking pretty much the entire time..
Were you able to watch this yet, phuzzy? Is my recounting of the quality too harsh?? I guess the worse part for me was that the 'Angel' overall didn't have a lot of screentime.. (And most of the time she spends it looking down at the ground...
*shiver*

Re: [REL] Gregorio y su ángel (1970)
Original language on this is listed as Spanish neutral(Mexican) which is what I deal with here in the dessert, anytime I venture out of my cave to get provisions.
I have this dvd in my queue to buy that is why I was wanting screen shots. To see if it gets nudged to my cart or not.
A quote from a reviewer at IMDb said "Filmed in Mexico but spoken in broken English by Mexican actors."

Re: [REL] Gregorio y su ángel (1970)
Other than the fact my Spanish isn't so good, it wasn't that bad. Not great, not terrible, just so-so. The girl is very young (maybe six or seven?) so I wasn't expecting an Oscar performance. There are far worse films on FLM.

Re: [REL] Gregorio y su ángel (1970)
Thanks for the pictures. Looks good enough for me.
I will go off the so so comment(both about the movie and judging the quality of the screen shots) and leave it in my queue. I can get the dvd real cheap and will wait to bundle it with some other films to save on shipping making it even cheaper.
