Scanning my Balls
Scanning my Balls
Just when you thought it was safe to go outside the US approves a measure to build 30,000 drones to spy on US citizens [worldwide]. I don't mind the idea of the government having an occasional peep show, but my biggest concern is the radiological effect of un-policed drone technology.

Reminds me of the fake swimming pool cover from Cheech and Chong's Nice Dreams.
Where I live there is now cameras on many city light poles watching most every part of busy areas. So far only thing they have been used for is evidence against a police officer that shot someone. I have yet to hear about how they have averted any other crimes.

They're used for traffic violations too - cities 'earn' lots of money without paying policemen by just mailing tickets to violators. Nobody has time to watch hundreds of cameras or thousands of hours of recordings every day. Monitoring facilities use facial recognition (which is quite accurate now but can still be fooled), and activity recognition software to alert a human when something matches. The cameras aren't there to stop crimes, they're for evidence.ptguardian wrote:I have yet to hear about how they have averted any other crimes.
Hmmm, I just read that guy's diatribe then read the actual bill that was enacted into law. I doubt he bothered to read it because nowhere does it authorize unmanned drones, it provides for a study to make rules for their safe use with other air traffic so people don't get killed. Well DUH, that's the FAA's job. Most of it is basic rule-making and funding for the next few years. That guy's rant looks like pure hype to me.

Re: Scanning my Balls
The article is pure propaganda. i know all about the red light cameras(received a few tickets myself). We finally voted those out. What I was referring to is these new surveillance cameras. New York and many of the other big cities have had these for a long time watching subways and other public spaces. Only recently did they get installed here. They are like the ones in the casinos where you can remotely turn them and zoom in.
These cameras are watching the public and not just for safety and or violation reasons many of these camera are not in high crime areas or even traffic intersections. Not sure what they are really for but I doubt it is for the benefit of the public sector. Perhaps I am being paranoid like the drones that aren't really watching us or are they?

USA Today has a similar article regarding congress approving 30,000 drones to spy on US citizens. What the information is used for is criminal activity in my opinion, which could be sold to private corporations developing AI or other mind control sh*t.

I am being to think someone is off their meds...
Linking two completely different stories and mentioning AI and mind control. Perhaps it is scanned balls syndrome?
"rawstory" link posted reminds me of something the onion may post. That video appears likely to be a fake. If you notice the lips and actions do not match entirely to what is being said. Especially at the end when you see his lips and actions he is clearly referencing something to the bottle he is holding but what is being said is not. I would not put it past our government to do and or approve something like this but the article references Binny who is a whistle blower speaking at the HOPE Number 9 hackers conference and hasn't worked for the NSA since 2001. Yeah, too much doesn't smell right about this. However it is entertaining to ponder

Re: Scanning my Balls
Prior to FLM I spent several months scanning the conspiracy forums. One does not need much reality to pin a conspiracy on government. However, I've look very seriously into our existing technology because I write above average music. Indeed, I should worry about technology pointed at me, particularly when I know that technology can remote scan us from space. Some radio technologies which government and commercial spy crafts carry can hear the sounds inside your house at 30,000 feet.
People are basically uneducated and uninterested in such things because they have very little by way of their unique lifestyles to sell to corporations or use for political reasons. Facebook is another beautiful way our government spies on its citizens and uses/steals ideas conveyed by individuals to promote their own cause. Indeed, I think it is their belief that once it appears at Facebook it is public domain. The sheer act of using someone elses ideas without crediting its author tells me they have no respect for artists or scientists and consume as much of this kind of information whenever possible.
