If you liked any of the LOTR you will like this one. As far as High Definition this is one of the highest ever made and as such I suggest avoiding any small files. Small size on this is 2.5 gigs minimum(Ganool) but to get the full grandeur I suggest over 5 gigs(SPARKS). I am buying the 3d blu-ray and the Ultra blu-ray(2160p) when it comes out.

Haven't watched it yet, but it seems the director got greedy and is milking this for all its worth. LOTR was three books and was done in three movies, which was as it should have been. The Hobbit is just one book, and he's making three humongous movies out of it. This is just the first part of a trilogy.

And there will be extended versions released later. It doesn't bother me because I re-watch/visit movies every few years anyway, so having a different version/new part adds to my enjoyment when I do. I look forward to the other two parts.
