There are tons of these type of videos on youtube. Lots of girls have channels where they post skits and talk about tween random crap. This channel is just one of hundreds. http://www.youtube.com/user/The3Tails?feature=watch (The 3 Tails channel)

I am not sure if you want to encourage them being posted or not? I too like these videos as many of them are cute and funny to watch but being complete amateur invite the possibility of the board being flooded with random stream videos. If 'by chance you do want them here' as it appears our limits are being expanded by your acceptance of such posts and as technology has changed to the point where kids have access to high quality cameras and the means to display their video I suggest making a new section for them with 'guidelines' that will help limit any trouble that phuzzy might end up having to fix.

i realised that earlier, when i downloaded a couple,i think we should draw the line at amateur films from youtube and similar streaming sites.

I don't want to be arbitrary and make that kind of decision without discussion but I'll give my opinion. While these and similar films may be cute, I don't think we should step outside the guidelines (which have served FLM well for a long time) which say professional films only. Whether or not a film is made with professional-quality equipment is irrelevant - the cameras of today ARE yesterday's professional equipment. Do we really want to open things up to "home movies"? And to be "released", they need to have an ed2k link. I, for one, have no intention of downloading and/or sharing this stuff.

Common sense would tell us this is just a harmless random post in the General section but there are now regular posters that don't have that common sense. ;)

Some have run with the idea of a off-topic section using it as an invitation to post anything and the acceptance encourages more of it. Shouldn't a childhood movie site be only encouraging posting childhood movies... :icon_thk

I don't want to see anything not professionally made posted here and or encouraged to be posted. Like you said that guideline has served us well for a long time....

Only reason I even mentioned anything on this video is because there are literally 100's of these type of channels with 100's of accompanying videos. :eyecrazy

We've discussed this before - I think the consensus was that only films that are listed on IMDB or similar sites are to be considered 'legitimate' enough to be posted here. We might relax that a little bit for the shorts section, though.

The Shorts section is bigger now than any other forum besides United States. If we allow the amateur stuff, it should have its own section in "Some Other Stuff" or "Beyond FirstLoveMovies" and be kept separate from "real" films. Just sayin'...
