[REL] En Garde (2004) [Germany]

Movies that don't quite meet the requirements to be on-topic for FLM, maybe because the actors are too old or screen time is too small.

A little bit forgotten boarding-school drama. IMHO it´s very "interesting" movie :D

Very nice, but probably off topic. ;) The lead is 19 y o; the others are of similar age. Unless the filming was done in 2001, this is VOT.

Decisive should be the age of the characters, not the age of the actors, I think.
Everybody has his own taste - somebody favors childish movies (cute, but sometimes also stupid), other favors movies about adolescence.

I'm not saying I don't like watching such films. On the contrary. I'm just mentioning that FLM has set 16 as the cut off age for actresses. There are many films in which older acresses have played younger/teenage roles.

IMDb's synopsis says the lead character is 16 years old. I probably won't download this one so I'll take the advice of the members whether this is on-topic. So far, 1 vote for and one against, with IMDb weighing in favor. Unless someone else objects, it should probably stay here.

Decisive should be if the character despite of synopsis 'believably' comes across as under 16. Adolescence is too broad as it can include anyone that is immature, young or innocent. Someone over the age of 16 could easily fall into the category of adolescence. This is a childhood website, emphasis on 'child' not a adolescence website. Not all tastes belong here. I have many other tastes then what is released here at FLM but I do not post them here. It is best not go off a synopsis considering a few here have repeatedly proven in the past that distinguishing the difference between a child and a woman is a difficulty.

Not reading any story about this movie and having no subtitles I had zero impression that she was an adolescent nor would I have considered this film for release here at FLM. All actors are well over the age limit and are not on-topic in the least. This is the impression I got from viewing this film.

OK, I admit that this post wasn´t outstanding, maybe "interesting", but sure there are movies that belong here much more. But where are they? For example (and again, everybody has his own) in my TOP 20 list. To climb on Mount Everest is easier than to find at least one of them... So I have 2 options: don´t post anything and sit on my bum, or to sit on my bum as well, but post something that is at least remotely relevant to the topic of our forum. ;)

But I must appreciate the fact, that we have here forum off-topic and the posts are not deleted (as some admins on other forums do), only moved, so everybody who is interested in something could browse here and download.

Exactly, and the off-topic section is a great section since the rules changed
