Burning Movies

Post by rmt@36 »   0 likes

I have downloaded quite a few movies from e-mule, most I can burn no problem. A few I can not import into my burner program (which is intervideo program).

Generally it says unstable codec or something like that. Is there a program or something to be able to burn this movies

Thanks in advance for the help.

That's because you are ripping them at same time you are burning them. If you want to keep them (in the same format) you could just burn them like any other files (using Nero directly, not a video software). This way the movie will keep it's original state.

To rip them to another format (like VCD) Nero Ultra Edition can do it too. But there are free alternatives too, like TmpgEnc: http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html (but you will have to burn them manually after the processing).

If you just want to watch them on a computer, burn the CD like a data CD, not as a VCD, SVCD or DVD, as these have very strict formats and your video will have to be converted to meet these standards to make them compatible/ playable on standalone VCD/SVCD/DVD players.
