Checking IP addresses is best. Rich's advice is for those who just go by the server name without bothering about the other information.

An ipfilter is a file that contains a huge list of IP addresses of known anti p2p entities. You can use it either with a third party application like PeerGuardian, or the feature built in to your ed2k client. Once enabled, your client becomes inaccessible to these IP addresses. This is highly recommended.

Check where this is in the options of the client that you are using. Eg. for eMule Plus this is in Preferences>Advanced>Security. Most clients have it.

There are many places where you can get an up to date ipfilter. http://emulepawcio.sourceforge.net/nieu ... filter.zip is nice. Check for an update every couple of weeks.
