releases
Hi Rich, Mods....
Considered warning and then deleting members that don’t post releases?
It might encourage non releasers to work harder to find some new titles if they new they would get booted.
It seems that its always (bar a few others) the same members posting releases.
Ill be damned if I ever saw 707 registered users posting releases.

Re: releases
Not everyone can release. eg. I have a 3 KB/s upload speed. I can find links, tell others about it if I see something nice on TV, help out where I can etc. But think about it - if I released a full length movie, you would all be screaming with frustration. Most of the members here have high bandwidth connections and are used to getting a movie in a few hours - a couple of days if it is a rare one. If I was the releaser it would take weeks. I upload constantly, as fast as I can, but I realize that my usefulness as an uploader is primarily psychological in nature - despite the slow speed, I do register as a valid, complete source for the files I'm sharing - you know that the file will get completed if you stay on it long enough.
Re: releases
That is a good point. Also, although I have movies available all the time, due to severe space limitations, these have to be changed to accomodate new ones. But I have also contributed things such as reviews, found links, new films, TV programmes, and technical advice. Draconian methods just force people awaya nd that (potentially) means less possible sources.emuler wrote:Not everyone can release. eg. I have a 3 KB/s upload speed. I agree that there are lots who do not actively post, but this forum is lively and fresh enough anyway. Maybe those who do not contibute could look for some of the films shown as [REQ] on a regular basis - but I suspect the nature of the film already compels them to do that
Whilst the point is valid and some should take note, lets not get heavy on here - there can be lots of reasons people do not actually post, but at the same time provide valuable sources for the downloads.
Just my opinion.

Re: releases
It can also take me a couple of days but in most cases weeks on end to complete a film as well.
I’m talking about warning those that NEVER release, not those that very occasionally release... hell I don’t release that often - keep it clean
:
I get the point about people still contributing simply by using the links and sharing the said files, but I think it’s a little unfair when 100's and 100's of members don’t post a damn thing.
Don’t they realize how fulfilling it is??
700+ members with just 56K connections?? nah!!!
Billanben for example has only been here a short time, but has taken a keen interest in the forum including posting releases.
BTW, releasing a film simply means being first to find the film and put the link here on FLM; see where I wrote “post releases” not "make releases”.
I swear when I joined this forum that the rules stated that I must contribute releases.
Whether anyone agrees with me or not, perhaps at least this discussion might encourage a few more people to contribute.

Re: releases
I think the situation apply to all thoses members who have 0 posts...... But in the meantime, thoses peoples certainly help us by adding more sources to each link we download, thus helping us to get the movie faster... So this is not an easy move.

Re: releases
Good point from Hell, the silent bunch provides more sources. However, I take the hint, and will try during easter to relase a couple of vhs rips, one being 'freiheit für die liebe' (much sought after I believe).

Re: releases
Hope no one thought I was being out of order bringing up this topic, but it would be good to liven things up around the forum
hansi, you have 'freiheit für die liebe'?!
That must be one of the most sought after films around here I would have though
its sure one iv been trying to find on the P2P circuit for a long time.
We all know the CIC clip of this title, but iv always wondered if that clip was ever deleted from the full version, the scene is certainly never mentioned in its previews on sites selling the VHS copy.
Being a fan of the original Schulmädchen Report films, I am still very keen to see this film regardless of any deleted scenes.
BTW, in the early 90's 'freiheit für die liebe' including the nude preteen lesbian scene was televised on a satellite channel, SAT1 or something, but I don’t really know the name for sure.
The same channel also showed the Schulmädchen Report films every Saturday night.
Watching the TV during the late night hours of a Saturday in my early teens sure was great!!
