Ideas for forum

Post by billanben »   0 likes

Three ideas :-

The first will require a bit of work from mod but basically is to split the forums into Requests and Releases. Any film can then be moved from one to other when released and it will be clear to see which ones need to be searched for. This will mean duplicating the country categories but I think would be worth the effort to have much clearer view of what is available and what is not.

Second is the have a separate South and Central America sub forum. I think there are now enough films in the various or uncategorized to enable this, and again this would help. Obviosly if the suggestion above was taken, this would be mirror forums in REL and REQ sections.

Lastly, how about a top ten films from each poster, and why they like the film (maybe include scenes of interest). If some of the big posters have more than ten then no problems - top twenty or whatever for them. This would have two big advantages :-

1. It should get the non-posters involved - this is probably something everyone can participate in.

2. They can be self-updated as you wish (or not as the case may be)

3. Others will get to see some films they have not even considered dwnaloading as they thought they soundee crap !

4. Will get us all thinking about what films we really like.

So just some ideas - what do you all think ? My idea of forums is that they evolve to ensure interest is maintained and that is what these ideas about. Also the work is equally shared between the admin (Ghost ?) and the posters. Cool huh ?

Hmm i like your idea of splitting the REL's and REQ's...

The United States forum is for movies from Nord America. South amerian movies go to the Unlisted forum. So i think there is no need for it.

I will discuss the matter with Rich. ;)

Think that my thinking is to make things look clearer - there are films from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Chile to my knowledge, would make the unlisted a bit clearer if Central and South America forum created - anyway your call obviously.

I am going to try post my top ten to get things rolling - which forum would you suggest best ?

guess it has to be worked out if all the effort of removing the REQ's is going to be worth it or not.

Gonna take forever and day isnt it?

Whatever is decided, lets hope it wont cause accounts and posts to vanish, thats all im worried about right now.
