Maybe somebody can help.

Right now I am only getting about 1mb of upload so that is why it is so slow.

Is there a way of adjusting something so that people can leech more so everybody can get it faster.

Hi rmt

Assuming you are referring to the second links posted - those which have the symbol for Emule by them, and assuming you have a broadband connection :-

In emule go to options-connection and then post all the values you have there - can check these are optium against your speed of BB connection (what are you supposed to have up/down ?). Also, did you leave your emule at the default ports (4662/4672) ? If so, you will probably have a pemanent lowid which will not help you at all. Would suggest you change these to something different but close (4665/4675) and make sure your network device does port forwarding for these ports only, and your personal firewall allows access to these ports. Finally, there is new version of emule which is supposed to handle connections much better (although I am sticking to old for now until I am sure they have ironed out bugs). One other recommendation is to disable KAD, in which case you will not need the UDP port at all and this can be safely either blocked (if you have previously opened), or not configured.

Hope this gives you some ideas - I can get between 30 and 150K/s down and 14K/s up - a ratio recommended by the writers of the software.
