FLM as an eMule communtity? ... read!

Post by ghost »   0 likes

There are many mods out there of the original emule client, but after trying almost every of them for my opinion the SNAKE Mod is simply the best.

And it is a 'community mod'. That means that everyone who uses this mod is in a community and this makes down- and uploading files between snake users much easier...

Just think about all FLM members would use it.........

It has a lot of features and is based now on the v0.47a

Get it here: http://first-loves.com/download/eMule_v ... eta7.3.rar

This is the official forum for help etc. http://www.futuremods.de/forum/
It also has a english section now!!

lol, i don't think we're going to agree on this ghost, for releasing i think a multiple friend slot client, is MUCH more efficient

No.. With the SNAKE mod u always will have ca. 30% community users in your uoload.

Just give it a try if you want......

i'm using the omicron mod like Rich..

With this one i can give multiple friend slots.. People that i recognise from FH, FLM, MVG and the norwegian board, with the tags of those, are added to my friendslist. In addition to that. i'm running Community-sharing for NEF and FLM. These measures result in that all my five slots are always occupied by people from NEF, FLM as long as people from these boards are requesting files that i share. So omicron has both multiple friendslots and community sharing.. Its old but its very efficient for releasing, if you're the only initial releasing source..

Sure... everyone has his favorite mod...

It was just a suggestion...

I am using the SNAKE for about a year now and i never had such download rates before... And the community up- and download is working perfectly (you don't have to add a community by hand).

The only reason iv always kept the same mod is the concern of losing all my partials and basically having to try and configure everything the way I would have had it before.

All im using is this one http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/ ... m=download
I don’t know what it’s called but its served me well for the past couple of years, so don’t know why I should bother changing anything.

Sure Debaser, if the original client is working well for you, it's ok.

I just made this post to spread the movies here between FLM members a lot faster.

All users wich also use the Snake Mod have automatic friends slots in your upload queue.
Additional to this you can push friends (in your friends list) and files which are on Release 15 times.

But it's everyone's own decision.

I just thought someone is interested... ;)

Sorry ghost

I didn’t mean my post to sound ungrateful for the suggestion.

I guess what I meant was, do I risk anything in changing mods, like losing partials and settings etc.

eMule Plus also has a community feature, but all it does is give a 1.5x boost in the score, less than the 2x boost given to friends. The special treatment is given to anyone who has the required string in his nick.

eg. for FLM, you have to
1. enable community in preferences and type FLM in the box for the string
2. modify your nick to include the string [FLM]

The two boosts do not combine, so if you set a community member as a friend, his boost will be only 2x.
