However, the immature girl's mixed feelings about this development lead her to bring her estranged and emotionally distant father into the situation, with unexpected results. While the dad seems to equivocate, Charlotte takes matters further by demanding Reyer's departure and threatening him with the police if he does not go. This action, along with Miriam's discovery of the truth about Reyer, rapidly pushes all concerned towards a dramatic and violent confrontation.

PA-RA-DA - Italy-France-Romania - 2008
The story of a French-Algerian clown Miloud Oukili, who arrives to Bucharest in 1992, is based on the life of a real variety artist, currently travelling all over Europe with his show featuring children he's managed to save during his 12-year stay in Bucharest. The phenomenon of children's gangs, living mainly in underground and in makeshift shelters close to the city's main railway station, was earlier described in the documentary Children Underground (dir. by Edet Belzberg, Romania 2001); the debuting director Marco Pontecorvo, also a renowned director of photography (e.g. My One and Only, 2009), managed nto make a feature fi lm about this phenomenon, in which he's not only shown the hopeless situation of many children, but also provided proof of human perseverance, which in the end manages to win.

Edit: AKA: The Witch of the West Is Dead
Mai, is an 11yo student, refuses to go to school. Her parents are nliving apart, so her distressed but sympathetic mother sends her to stay with her grandmother in the country for awhle. What a change it turns out to be. Her grandmother gives Mai training as a witch (she calls herself The Witch of the West) and also teaches Mai important values on life itself. The grandmother is played by Sachi Parker – the daughter of actress Shirley MacLaine and producer Steve Parker. She lived in Tokyo in her youth, attended an international school there and became fl uent in Japanese.

They fi nd out that Pilous, the castle warden, is somehow involved in a planned theft of a valuable painting and that Mr. Liška, an kind old man, is to be blamed for it.

The story takes place in Budapest in 1991. Zsófi (Dorka Gáspárfalvi) moves to a new elementary school and becomes friends with Liza (Dorottya Hais). Zsófi joins the award-winning school choir but she is told not to sing out loud, because Erika, the teacher doesn't consider her good enough and the choir is preparing for a competition where they can win a trip to Sweden. Zsófi is visibly hurt, but she obeys the teacher and keeps her request secret from the other children.
Liza notices that Zsófi doesn't sing, and Zsófi tells her about the teacher's request. At the next choir rehearsal Liza confronts the teacher, but she is told that it's in the best interest of the choir that only the good singers sing out loud. Erika also tells Liza that she didn't want to publicly shame those who can't sing well, but now she asks all of them to raise their hands. Zsófi is surprised when she realizes that she was far from being the only one who wasn't allowed to sing. Later she tells Liza she has a plan.
The day of the competition arrives. Erika's choir is supposed to start singing, and all the children start silently mouthing the lyrics, no one sings. When a frustrated Erika leaves the stage, the children start to sing.

Check out the very first post. 
While searching for ANY info on the film 'Tre Sirene e un Pirata', I came across it. Turns out it's a 16 min short and it was posted on YouTube..
I wish my PC was up and running, as I'd try and [REL] the titles I've come across. Hopefully other members will find the time to do so..

Mina, who is spoiled, stubborn city girl, breaks first in this foreign environment, but luckily by her side always stands Oto, rational boy who is in love with her. In this untouched nature which is such an unknown world to them also Spurc, who was golden-spoon-fed all his life, turns into a cowardish spoiled-child, and at the end Manc is again the one who safely guides them back home. A story about growing up, love, friendship and heroism. The warm but suspenseful and occasionally spine-chilling film focuses on what happens in the today's world when technology stops working and the 'primal' human instincts come to light.

In search of the best photo for the school competition, four thirteen-year-old pupils head to remote hills. The competition for awards turns into a struggle for survival. Manc, who leads the group to remote but scenic countryside, where he spent his childhood with his grandpa, had been accused of stealing a phone and consequently might be expelled from school. Schoolmates Mina, Oto and Spurc join him on this trip. Mina, who is spoiled, stubborn city girl, breaks first in this foreign environment, but luckily by her side always stands Oto, rational boy who is in love with her. In this untouched nature which is such an unknown world to them also Spurc, who was golden-spoon-fed all his life, turns into a cowardish spoiled-child, and at the end Manc is again the one who safely guides them back home. A story about growing up, love, friendship and heroism. The warm but suspenseful and occasionally spine-chilling film focuses on what happens in the today's world when technology stops working and the 'primal' human instincts come to light.
