[REL] Jambon d'Ardenne (1977)

During the height of the tourist season, the rivalry between the manager of a slightly fancy restaurant and the proprietor of a nearby fast-food stand becomes quite heated, and shots are fired. In this comedy, the restaurant is run with an iron hand by its "patronne," (Annie Girardot), and the help eventually have had enough. If that weren't sufficient trouble, the children of the owners of both establishments are romantically entangled, further infuriating the passions of the feuding food fanatics.
The plot is uninteresting, but the scene description at RFF isn't.

Black comedy about two feuding families in the restaurant business, whose rivalry goes completely off the rails. Meanwhile a boy from one family and a girl from the other fall in love. Features 14 yo Nathalie van de Walle in her first of only two movie roles.

HD upscale of the above DVD. Just the main feature in this instance. I haven't bothered with any of the DVD extras, but would be happy to if anyone is interested.
