Also, similar thing with newsgroups, do you often find all parts to a movie posted, or do you usually have to download some then wait ? Do the files come in any strange format which needs converting.
Sorry for newbie questions !
No, the files come exactly as with emule. All in 1 download. You can download multiple files at the time, and the limit is your bandwith. The main difference with emule is the search engine. You don't have any! You must find your files trough web search engine (like piratebay.org). These sites will provide you with a ".torrent" file that you must open with uTorrent (and uTorrent will begin download auto.).

Et voila!

Good hunting!

I'd like to reiterate that torrents are not known for their longevity. I've had several files just die on me. I have a slow connection and take longer than the others to download, so quite often when the others are done, I get no more data. :(

btw Hell, how come your avatar's bigger than what I'm allowed? I keep getting the message that it must be less than 49KB, while yours is 78.9KB.

Like ed2k, you have to share while you are downloading, but after that it is up to you. Unlike ed2k, torrent users are generally not known for their patience and kindness. Hope you find a nice forum like FLM. Here if you get stuck, people will actually take the trouble to help you out.

Last answer then ;-)

The files your are downloading are shared at the same time.. The more you share, the more you can d/l the same file (u/l ratio can be adjusted). You do not have to share anything else than the files you are actually downloading, and the process is automatic (nothing to do from yourself).

When the d/l is finished, it's up to you to remove the shared files from your list, otherwise, the files will still be shared while the program (uTorrent) is running. To remove them, just select one and press "del". This will not delete the actual files on your HD... (but wait before the file is complete before removing it from list).
