This file needed to be corrected! The aspect ratio was wrong, 70 seconds in the end were missing (I took the missing end from the avi) ... And I did some color correction:

Taking movie information from VLC seems not to be such a good idea anymore. It happens more and more often this program is giving wrong data.

BTW how do you guess the right aspect ratio? 4:3 or 5:4 could both be possible and 720:576 seems to be the ratio given in the file itself (or where is VLC taking these numbers from?) ...

Usually I get the aspect ratio of a file from Mediainfo (included in the K-Lite Codec Pack).

I thought you have taken it from an earlier version but that wasn't what I meant. How do you know this ratio is the original (!) one? It could also be the faulty one, couldn't it ...

I try some possibilities with some common aspect ratios. AND: I simply trust my eyes.
