Being a source?
Being a source?
Ok, I am still fairly new to this board, but I have downloaded several movies now. My question is this. I generally leave my computer on 24/7. Does this mean that if I do this, and emule is activated, I am now a source? I seem to have a lot of uploading going on with my emule, so I am thinking that i am now a source. is my thought correct?

Re: Being a source?
The moment you have one complete part, you are able to upload. If you are uploading, of course you are a source.
Re: Being a source?
great! I have no problems with being a source! Since I have no clue how to make a file for emule to share with people, least I can do is be a source for the movies you guys let me download. Only seems fair after all.

Re: Being a source?
But see the emule official forum posting about upload/download ratio (I think 75%) because this is important for some reason which escapes me right now !
Re: Being a source?
If you want to upload something, either
1. copy the file to your incoming folder, go to your shared files page and click the reload button.
or
2. add the folder containing the files you want to share as an additional shared folder. eg, for eMule, on the shared files page, browse to the folder that contains the file you want to share and select 'share folder'. All files in the folder will be shared.

Thank you. I will look this option over. As I am about as computer literate as your average rock, it might take a bit for me to work it out, but, I DO have 3 living brain cells so feel I should eventually figure it out!emuler wrote:If you want to upload something, either
