Stats about movies posted on FLM

Hey guys! I've been collecting some interesting stats about movies posted on FLM and I wanted to share them with you.

First, a few things to note about this data and the gathering process:

• The data includes all releases within the releases forum and requests within the requests forum. Movies posted outside of these forums are not included.
• The data includes movies posted since FLM's inception up to and including February 28th, 2021.
• The data was made by following a four-step process, out of which the first two were automated by a script and the last two were done manually by me.
• The four steps involved in the process were: (1) scraping the forums and saving all topic names into a database, (2) parsing the topic names to separate the movie title from the country and year, (3) querying the database for interesting stats and saving them in Excel files, (4) transcribing the worksheets to BBCode to post them here (unfortunately not in table format as the forum doesn't seem to support it).
• The scraping script had to make hundreds of requests to FLM to gather the data, which could have potentially caused a degradation in the site's performance. I made sure to take the necessary precautions to prevent this, such as running the script during a time when the forum would be less active and setting up artificial delays between each request made.
• Due to the potential risk for abuse leading to a negative impact on the site's performance, I will not be publishing the script, unless an admin specifically requests or allows me to do so.
• I will publish the database file though, so that you can peruse the raw data at your leisure and generate other stats or see information on other movies apart from the ones I will be mentioning here. The database is in SQLite3 format and can be viewed with a program such as DB Browser for SQLite.

All of that said, without further ado I present you the stats. I hope you find them as interesting and useful as I did.

The only thing with a margin of error was I did not see Central America anywhere, as a region Latin America is supposed to be placed so that both Central and South America are included as a single region.

There are many ways to divide the Earth into continents. I went by the one mentioned in the Wikipedia article for Continent:

[...] seven regions are commonly regarded as continents. Ordered from largest in area to smallest: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia.

We grouped Central America, including Mexico, with Latin America because of the difference in numbers of films - 1900+ films from the US and Canada compared to 225+ for ALL the other countries in the hemisphere. You'll note all of Africa is in Unlisted - there just aren't many films from that entire continent.
