English subtitles
For movies in which english subtitles are available, how do you interface the video with the subtitles.

Re: English subtitles
Hi
Simple, just make sure both the movie and subs are identicly named.
For example:
A Swedish Love Story AKA En Kärlekshistoria • 1970 • Eng subs • 1 of 2.avi
A Swedish Love Story AKA En Kärlekshistoria • 1970 • Eng subs • 1 of 2.srt
A Swedish Love Story AKA En Kärlekshistoria • 1970 • Eng subs • 2 of 2.avi
A Swedish Love Story AKA En Kärlekshistoria • 1970 • Eng subs • 2 of 2.srt
You may also need to install a program that enables you to view the subtitles, like DirectVobSub.
I never knowingly installed such a program, and the subs simply played by renaming as above.
Perhaps such a program became installed when I downloaded a codec pack one time, and you may also have such a program too.
Anyhoo, try matching the titles first. If that doesnt work, install the program as well

Re: English subtitles
Certainly for the main players (VLC, MPC etc) matching will do the trick as the program (by default) will look for this (you can of course turn the subtitles off).
Great choice of movie btw )

Re: English subtitles
if none of that works for you try...

very easy to use, load up the subs and then the video, then play

Re: English subtitles
I like BSPlayer; allows you to browse and load the subs of your choice wherever they are on your HDD and whatever they are named. Great for VCDs which didn't have any subs to begin with. Play the VCD, load the subs from HDD and go.
