Corda Bamba, historia de uma menina equilibrista (2012)

Synopsis:

Maria,10, was born and raised at a small circus. She's suddenly forced to live at the city with a rich grandmother that she barely knows. Loneliness and grief strike her, while she struggles to overcome a momentary memory lapse. She crosses on an imaginary tightrope towards a facing dark window where she'll reach her deepest memories behind the colorful doors of a mysterious corridor, gathering the strength to face again a tragic moment of her life, and finally being able to move forwards.

I found this one while looking for movies on ART's list. (I'm pretty sure THIS one ISN'T there..) After checking out a youtube link that was pretty bad quality, I went ahead and ordered the DVD from Amazon.com..

The girl [ Bia Goldenstein, who, unfortunately, hasn't made any more movies..] is in about 93% of the film and she's really cute.

(The English subs were a real PITA; for some reason just about every other 3 or 4 lines the words were all running together.. Haven't seen a problem as pervasive though out the entire sub text as these were, ever before..)

This one is new to me. The movie and the girl. Unfortunately in many countries actors aren't paid anywhere close to what they make in the US; in fact, almost any "real job" pays better. This is why so many child actors appeared in one or maybe two films and then went on to become doctors, teachers, etc.
