More and more ISPs are messing with p2p stuff and trying different things to discourage file sharing. I'm consistently getting a lot of corruption on your files which is wasting bandwidth - both yours and mine. It is quite bad - I had to cancel The Echo Of Thunder and look for a torrent. Which is a real bummer because your files are absolutely superb - best quality to size ratio.
Thanks, and thanks for the lesson. I'll look into it!

[EDIT] I've found this link and I'll make sure I post these from now on cheers

GRRRRRR. Would youse guys tell me how you "FOUND" it? I can see the difference in the hashes after comparing them, so emuler should be good now, but where did you GET the new hash from???!!? Did you do some sort of rehash, and how? Or was it hidden somewhere in your emule client? Why does it have the verifying hash now, and not before?

I have an aMule client (the mac version of eMule).

First I put the file in my shared folder. Then I wait for aMule to register it.
In the shared files list, I right-click the link. I have then 3 ways I can copy the link to clipboard:
1. a magnet link
2. an ED2K link
3. an ED2K link (AICH)

It's the third one emuler was asking for.
I've found this online:
https://forum.emule-project.net/index.p ... 9a06de3ea5

it's a learning curve I guess! :icon_killcomputer

Should anyone who has grabbed the first posted link cancel the download and use the new one? Or just leave it?

Damn, Apple products are so complicated! I only have one option.

I'll have to do more reading, but emuler's similar link in the Spy Kids thread did not make it through my head so this might not either.

No, don't cancel it! Keep using it! However, you can load popdrome's newly posted link and it will update the hash on the already existing link so that it includes the verifying hash. It MAY make your download go faster and more accurately. emuler absolutely needs it to do anything.

Got it! New hash is loaded and the file is nearly complete. I hope we're helping emuler, glad we got our priorities straight.

I have not seen emuler yet for sharing that file, only you (and popdrome), but emuler needs to log back into FLM and get the updated hash first. THEN we may be of assistance!

I am at 99.5% and then it decided to take a nap and work on other downloads instead.

Thanks, popdrome. That was exactly what I wanted. I would really appreciate it if you did that for all future links. :icon_idea2 :icon_idea2 :icon_idea2 :icon_1dancingban
Meanwhile, I managed to find another slightly larger HEVC file with subtitles so I'll stick with that. Thanks again for taking the trouble to figure it out.

pillow baker, it is still the same file - the extra information in the new link just helps us deal with corruption more effectively. If you aren't encountering any corruption this extra information will just sit there and not be used.

I never thought about a two hash link. I just copy the link that eMule gives me.

But thanks for the info, emuler.

Anyway... thanks for the upgrade, popdrome! :P
