NOT this version - even though they seem to use same cover
Synopsis
I'm just begging to disagree from people who have previously criticized this movie. It is a good thriller, with beautiful ladies (even when they appear only too briefly, like Sabine Sun and Nathalie Varallo) and a teasing 12-y-o. Some viewers probably regret that time washed most of the original Eastmancolor, but the mountain scene and it's daring winding road that will see drama aplenty, are still there - evocative of a wilderness that we can't get now in real Alpes-Maritimes. Charles Bronson acts well the part of the retired army sergeant that has more in common with his captain than Korean War memories. Greed leads to assault and murder in Germany, and seven years later it explodes in Joe's face. A couple of weak points in the script are not enough to discredit well acted action scenes. Kudos for James Mason, who portrays well captain Ross, and does a creditable picture of a long suffering man with a gut wound.
