Thank you DreamScape.
Here are the specs for ghost's version on emule: [Code] There are almost identical! I struggled to find the differences, and they were so technical that I can't even figure out their significance. My guess is that they were downloaded from the same source with different software. They are effectively the same, with only slight bit-difference in encoding.

Here are some details/explanations about the whole codec-ID mp4 thing. I assume it could even be related to YouTube slightly changing encoding/mp4 metadata. (My old YouTube downloads often had the „ISO..created by Google“ in their mediainfo).

Im sure everyone already knows about youtube-dl or more so it’s popular and well maintained fork yt-dlp:

I know and use yt-dl and other downloaders so that is why I knew that different downloaders would produce slightly different results. But as for spending hours reading technical manuals so that I could understand the individual coding differences ... :? ... Well, I must say, thank you very much for the link! ;)

I have not come across English subs for this one before. If none exist, I am considering ideas for a new project in the next couple weeks, possibly.

Pillowbaker, if you want to do a proper translation of the German then please do so!

I have done a basic machine-translation to English (see below), but after hundreds of years of expert human German-to-English translations to draw upon, Google STILL does not get it quite right. I don't know, maybe it learned German from the Goethe era and never learned modern German.

I have ghost's video copy 25fps 1h17m08s but not the (now-inaccessible) ulozto version 25fps 1h17m??s.

I see that there is a German DTV subtitle at opensubs.
https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtit ... senherz-de

I do not know why I did not think to get that and do a mere machine translation two years ago, but it looks like I didn't. Maybe because resyncing a DTV subtitle to another source always produces a rather LOOSE sync? Sometimes the subs are early, sometimes late.

For a START, here are the German subtitles and an English machine-translation resynced (loosely) to ghost's file:
Hasenherz (1987).1080p De&GoogleEn.zip

There is also a 720p copy from blizzardkid. (HDTV Russian & German 25fps 1h17m05s)
http://blizzardkid.net/category/family- ... start_com=
Direct-downloadable link: [Code] I am downloading it now and will resync and post the subtitles for it if necessary.

Relic's and blizzardkid's files are the same (720p HDTV Russian & German 25fps).

Relic's subtitle is the same as what was at opensubtitles. I adjusted it a little for this video, but it is not exact.

German & machine-translated English, loosely synced to that version:
Hanhz 1987.De&GoogleEn.zip
