Re: Low ID
I think the problem that giving me a lowid is the fort forwarding. i may need to reconfigure my router to achieve this. But first I need to get the password of my router so I could open it.

Hmm - that got lost somewhere in the ether !! Was to say that I have always used emule with KAD disabled and not had any problems with obtaining sources for downlaods. I did say that I still have the UDP ports enabled, but the source I got this from (afterdawn or official emule forum forget which) states that you can in fact just disable UDP ports completely if you disable KAD.
Just pointing out that this is the official recommendation for the problem of router/modem drop out through too many connections. If you decide to do it, as they say, that's your funeral !!
Re: Low ID
I just wanted to say that you also get a lot of sources with KAD. SO why should it be disabled??billanben wrote:ghost wrote:so what's your reply billanben?:

KAD is the future
:
when Donkeyserver and saugcenter servers etc etc go down, KAD will rescue us

Re: Low ID
Like I say, on the emule forum, if you look under causes for router/modem dropping out due to excessive connections, one of the recommendations is to disable KAD - I was pointing out that I have always done this with no adverse effects, but really this was just a suggestion if you get thiis problem.ghost wrote:I just wanted to say that you also get a lot of sources with KAD.
