This movie might be about me. Because she wanted me to be the girl of (my mum) her dreams therefore she would even punish me for the same reason. 
Edit: I watched the movie just now. The girl's only supporter was her grandmother. My father was soft-hearted and my mother was authoritarian. Sometimes when I look back at my childhood, I feel happy for both my mother and my father. Yes, there were moments when my mother was harsh, but she would hug me. My father was so understanding and tolerant that sometimes I was afraid of him when he was angry. *-*
Anyway! The only thing the girl in this movie and I had in common was that we liked playing football with kids. I didn't like wearing skirts, but wearing dresses was just right for me. The dress was comfortable and fit my body perfectly. That's it! *-* Time flies. *-*
