Is that because the Moslems are constantly starting wars somewhere on the world, just because someone doesn't like their silly religion? Man, please calm down. Being american does not necessarily mean you are U.S. american. which the whole rest of the world hates for what they are and do. I like all people on earth as long as they don't harm me. To SAY something to someone does not harm in any way, except the one is oversensitive or a wimp. I was only asking a question. I downloaded the huge file you produce (because I was curious) just to see Pollyanna and The railway children to be (let me just rate this as I think) "boring" movies. Not even cute children (my opinion, just mine). And if I see the two not cute boys on that new movie I'm only starting to wonder if it turns out to be a boy movie, like the many ones we (unfortunately) have here too (OK, this is rude, but I don't like boy movies).

My opinion does not count. I could stay calm, just to comfort you and everyone here who feels offend by my frankness. But I don't do so. Critic is not negative, I just wanted to sort out. If someone does not like what I post, he may feel free to post his critic. I wouldn't take this personally.

Well let’s start at the top. Yes I’m American yes I’m a US American. Let me quote Plato and just think about it "Only the dead have seen the end of war". You are in no place to judge me or my country. I'm not going to get into a debate over politics. Mainly because this is way off topic and everyone who seems to want to debate with me knows nothing of the topic. Just what they are spoon fed from the local media and hear from others. I will say this thou. You my not agree with our actions in Iraq and France may hate us. But I did not hear any complaining when thousands of our men died trying to defend it from a country to who decided that many people should no longer be allowed to live. We could have sat by and watch from afar and maybe made an agreement if you stay over there we will stay here. But we sent men to die just to help you all. We provide aid for countries that need it. You can even take the recent tragic events of 300 kids dieing in Russia. You can bet we offered them anything they wanted to deal with it. But we were turned down. I don’t feel my country is above or below any one country. Every country has a history. We have ours and everyone else has there’s. Keep that in mind before you trash any one nation in the future.

About you downloading my “huge file”s. Ok you took a chance and did not like it. There for everyone must hate it. Here is a thought next time you “dislike” a movie. Write a review. Just saying its boring or crap helps no one. As I pointed out in my last post. If you would explain why you disliked it. Someone else could decide if it was for them or not. I’m done defending my movies. Since this movie is trash just delete it off the forum. You have already decided for everyone what they should be allowed to pick from. I’m sure with that power you can also delete a post.
My opinion does not count. I could stay calm, just to comfort you and everyone here who feels offend by my frankness.
No one here is looking for a shoulder to cry one and I don’t find you “frank” the word “inept” seems better fitting.

Calm down guys!!!!!

What about a discussion and no more cheating each other.
I know i'm not one of these people posting much here in this forum and some of you may think i have no right to post my opinion about this argue because of this fact. But i am a "silent helper" for spreading the files and a daily reader of this forum. If you think i'll better keep my mouth shut read the next post.

I can't understand why you are bothering each other. Tastes are different. Not everyone likes the same. Here are girl lovers between boylovers. So what? If someone think he has a movie he likes and want to share it...just do it. But perhaps we can make a clean difference between the movies. For example there are users ( ) asking for nudity. Let's make a definition!?!
For example: let's make at the end of a description of a movie a G-NDTY for girls nudity included or a B-NDTY for boy....
Than everyone knows what he is downloading. The rest is a question of taste and that's something you can't argue about. You just like it or not.

Btw This is not the right place to discuss about political questions!

If the movie has a dominant child role or small interesting part (male or female) info can be posted and is more than welcome here

It's up to the person who clicks on the link to determine whether the movie will be of interest to themselves, not the releaser i.e. look on the web for further info

Of course the more info posted by the releaser the better, but this is not always easy for some movies, and the releaser may have only found a source so may not know, or may not have time to write their own review etc etc etc

So read up on the movie first! :sumo:

Well said, Rich. Love the sumo icon, btw.

I think everyone is agreed that releases should be marked properly for content. The single most urgent attribute seems to be nudity; at least that is the one creating the most clamour. :P

Solution: Will everyone who has posted a release please edit the first post and put the following tags there as applicable:
NN - No nudity
GN - Girl nudity
BN - Boy nudity
F - family viewing

The last one needs some explanation. Basically, all the movies here involve children. However, some are meant to be watched by adults, while others can be watched by all, adults and children alike. The Railway Children falls into the F category, as does Monkey Trouble, Homecoming, and a whole heap of movies featured here. Only pervs would show something like Maladolescenza to small children, so that would not rate an F.

Sorry, and this is just my opinion, but you do bitch/complain/whine a lot Infinter. Another example is the Ikke Naken thread. You should be glad that someone has released it, and the audio is not bad, but enough about that.

There is something called different taste, and what you might dislike others may LIKE. People post stuff they think is good, and it's not up to you to define what's good here or not. If we are talking about a movie with only adults i would agree with you, that stuff has nothing to do here on this board, but any childhood movie is welcome here, i sure as heck welcome them all. :thumbup1:

The original links to this are unsourced so it's difficult to know how much of an upgrade this will be although the poster did make some comments about the quality.

What can't be disputed is that this will be an upgrade to a particularly unpleasant thread, full of contentious crap from posters who have far too much to say for themselves. I initially wondered whether to request this was pruned to remove the unpleasantness but I'm now erring on the side of leaving it as an example of how NOT to conduct one's self on the forum. Anyway, enough of that.

This also marks the start of changing the format of my rips. I've long been a fan of the XviD avi, particularly liking it's stability & ability to play on anything, especially older hardware. However, times move on, support is now discontinued for much of the older software I use & there is no dispute a more modern format produces a better quality rip for a given file size. It will also make it very much easier when I finally upgrade from my trusted Windows XP. I'll also be stopping the fixed file size (2CD) as this serves no purpose & will in future be ripping at a fixed bitrate therefore file sizes will broadly reflect the movie running time. I'll be interested in comments, in particular from anyone who feels they have a compatability problem although do make sure any codec issues are resolved first.

I agree about the contentious crap and I don't really think it should be trimmed out - after all, it's part of our history. I think the "changed" FLM has moved way past the "it's only on-topic if there's nudity" stuff. We've also moved past the CD-size limits because I doubt there are many people who don't have a DVD burner considering how cheap they are. Bandwidth doesn't seem to be much of an issue now either - even just two years ago lots of people screamed at releases that were over 1 GB. It may take a little longer - or not- but the mule keeps chugging along.

Quality IS important. It won't be long before HD is more common than not (and something even better is certain to appear) and we'll look back on DVD days the same way we used to look at VHS. "It's only a DVD rip but it's better than nothing." Generally, if someone can't play just about everything, they need to get their software sorted - and people here can help with that - and the rest of us shouldn't be limiting ourselves to the lowest common denominator. You've always been a well-respected ripper/releaser and could maybe give pointers to other people who'd like to try it.

This rip looks quite nice from the screen shots. Well done.

What is xvid?

Cool to see the use of handbrake. My only request and this is just a request as I like MKVs is that you use the MP4 option instead of MKV. From my experience there is not much quality difference if any. The advantage of the MP4 is that it plays on the PS3 and on most new portable devices. Many people watch files on tablets these days. However, everyone should have zero problems playing any file that you choose to post on their computer. If they do as phuzzy said we can always give advise on playback. The comment was made in one of the less colorful posts here that if someone doesn't want a movie and or file they do not have to download it. I agree and have said as much many times here.

Thanks for the upgrade I was planning on doing it for a while and as usual it sits in the pile of someday I will get around to stuff,,, :D

By the way there is a sequel to this. ;)

What's PS3?
What's a tablet? Is it something I take when I'm unwell?

Comments noted about mp4 format. I've tried all permutations of rips including mp4 but came to the conclusion mkv offered slightly (but only just) better quality. Never ocurred to me about PS3's or tablets.

Anyway, I'm a bit 'anti' mobile devices at present.....3 weeks ago I had the misfortune to sit next to some fat tub of lard on the plane who insisted on eating a carry-out sushi & pissing around with a tablet, even refusing to turn the thing off when we were taking off & landing! I have to tell you I nearly rammed the whole lot, raw fish & all where the sun doesn't shine. Best she's not sitting next to me on the return flight on Friday!

Seriously though, I'll have another play using mp4 & see what I think.

everyone to their own devices.

some of these old threads are pretty nasty in parts, prolific complaining from a prolific non-contributor.
