Re: "Paul et Virginie" (1974)
Véronique Jannot was 17 at time of filming and both look older than FLM-worthy. Unless someone objects, I'm moving this to Verified Off-Topic.

Re: Paul et Virginie (1974) [France]
In order for a film to be on-topic the children need to be in it more than a minute or two and they need to have some role other than scenery. Many films happen to have children in them, but if they could be removed without the story changing - for instance the main character drives by a school yard where kids happen to be playing in the background - the film wouldn't necessarily be on-topic. The kids don't even need to have major roles, but they need to be more than just props.
I haven't watched this series but from what I understand, the children only appear in very short flashback sequences in one episode, not enough to be even minor characters. If you have different information, please share.

Well said, Phuz. Just look at the very interesting screenshots I posted in this thread:

Re: Paul et Virginie (1974) [France]
I think this series is OT.
Both
Véronique Jannot and
Pierre-François Pistorio were 16 during filming.
Paul and Virginie, the characters, grow up throughout the series. It's true that the period in which they are children takes up little space in the series, but how old are the characters during the time Jannot and Pistorio play them?
At minute 41:08 of the second episode, a man asks Virginie how old she was. She replies that she doesn't know, to which the man observes that "It's been about fifteen years since I last saw you. You were just coming out of your mother's womb" ("Ça fait bien une quinzaine d'années que je t'ai vue. Tu sortais de ta mère. "). The event the man is referring to occurs at minute 19:00 of the same episode, in which Virginie is indeed still a baby.
This means that at their second meeting Virginie was 15 years old, 16 at most.
Obviously, I'll let Ghost decide.

Always these hard decisions!
I wasn't the bad guy who moved this series to Off-Topic in 2015.
For me personally this series IS off-topic and it doesn't interest me at all. But since the actors were 15 or 16yo during filming, I moved it back to France.
