Re: Chat
before we got the last say 20 lines of chat when we entered the livechat..
Re: Chat
Now the chat will clean itself after one hour. A chatroom is no forum and i think most people don't wanna see all other people what they were talking about yesterday.katzenjammer wrote:before we got the last say 20 lines of chat when we entered the livechat..
Re: Chat
Ok, people, Technical bull shiite aside; ALL YOU NEED FOR A SUCCESSFUL CHAT ROOM IS PEOPLE THAT WANT TO TALK TO EACH OTHER...
Sorry for shouting, but despite a promising start with quite a few people showing up, chat has now deteriorated into a shameless waste of ghost's time...
I truly believe that if a forum has members that actually enjoy talking to each other, then the barest bones chat room will suffice...
Whatever the case, the argument that no one is around at the same time falls a little flat when it's noticed that at any given time [pretty much] if you leave FLM and return, you can see that there are a plethora of members that stop by.
Granted most are the lurkers that NEVER make any posts even at FLM, and in no way on God's-Green-Earth can be expected to waste their precious time in chat; BUT amoung those names you'll often find regular posters popping in...yet none take time to visit chat...
I know, also, that many have busy schedules in 'real-life', but to make something work [that you WANT to make work], it takes a little compromise and sacrifice with your time... Though I'm sure 'chat' very low on most member's 'Time Priority' pole; being that some folks were begging for a chat room, we should be doing what we can to keep it going...
Anyway... Just disappointed...
